The AirFish is a Wing-in-Ground craft. It flies a few metres above the sea at up to 100 knots and berths at an ordinary jetty.
How it flies
A cushion of air, not a runway
A WIG craft takes off from the water like a seaplane, then flies a few metres above the surface. The wing traps a cushion of air against the sea, cutting drag and letting the craft cruise at aircraft speed on car engines. It berths at a normal jetty and is classified as a vessel.
